A night with national minorities „Differences make us richer“

On December 12th 2008 in the Children theatre of Branko Mihaljević Coalition for Promotion and Protection of Human Rights has organized an evening with national minorities „Differences make us richer“. Manifestation was held within the project “Multiculturalism as part of the modern European society” that the Coalition implements with financial support of the Office for Human Rights of the Republic of Croatia.

Representatives of the following 5 national minorities traditionally settled in Osijek and Osjecko-baranjska County appeared at the evening show: Hungarian cultural society “Ady Endre”, from Vladislavci Municipality; Marijana Matijević, soprano – German Minority Community, Association of Danube Region Germans; Organization of Romani friendship LUNA, Beli Manastir; Serbian Cultural Association „St. Sava“, from Tenje; and Dancing Group „Haverim Shel Israel“ (fiends od Israel) Osijek. With over 60 preformers and over 100 other visitors, there was the Consul of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Zelenbaba. The organisers and the representative of town Osijek Mr. Ivan Vrdoljak, Deputy Mayor of the City of Osijek adresed the public.
