Exhibition and public debate held in Karlovac within the Multiculturalism project

On December 2nd 2008 in the offices of the Youth library in Karlovac Coalition for promotion and protection of human rights and the member of the Coalition Human rights committee Karlovac organized and exhibition of the caricatures and public debate on Hate speech in media within the project “Multiculturalism as a part of the modern European society” which is implemented with financial help of Office for Human rights of Republic of Croatia. Whole day event was opened with the exhibition of caricatures in morning hours where were present    besides the representatives of the organizers the mayor of Karlovac and one of the authors Mr. Borivoj Dovniković – Bordo and over 50 participants. In the afternoon hours a public debate was held on “Hate speech in media” where the speakers were journalist MR. Drago Pilses, representative of Margel Institute Mr. Salomon Jazbec form Zagreb, Mrs. Mirjana Galo the president of HOMO Pula, and Mrs. Jelka Glumičić the president of Human rights committee Karlovac. There were over 50 people present.
